Hot take idea? Make Job Applications Great Again

Hey Kaila and Kyle!

As always, thanks for the amazing pod episodes and helping many of us (perhaps 30+ yrs old...also Lu is a hater).

So as we know, AI is a mess but also a great tool that can help or hurt us. I have a hot take on this when it comes to the hiring process.

Hot Take Ideas:

1. AI should NOT be used to sift through emails/resumes of applicants, but instead, this should be done by a human.

2. Companies should be required to implement a more human-based approach of application that causes a more "mindful" application process (rather than an "easy apply" where you can apply to 100 jobs...and likely get ghosted/rejected by all of them. My reasoning is, if you're application is generic...why should you be considered? Alternatively, if you take the time to apply and complete the "process", it shows that 1.) you're human and 2.) you are more serious about this position.

Can't think of any more "sub-takes" but if you guys do, that would be awesome!

Thanks again for making my concept of corporate life a little less gloomy. You both have talked recently about the mental burden of being "burned" in a previous job, and I can definitely say that the healing process varies a lot...so much so that only now, about 1 year after being laid off at a previous job, I'm beginning to finally feel happier.

Also...there aren't enough stars in the rating system for this pod. Y'all are great.
